Der Versuch eine Gerät, welcher keinen galvanischen Kontakt machen soll, an dem Fahrzeugcomputer anzubinden, ist eine große Herausforderung, und sehr oft ist dies auch teuer.

Die Schnittstelle CANGO J1708 liefert Daten über das Fahrzeug in einer standardisierten und zuverlässigen Art. Dies erlaubt allen telematischen RS232/ASCII oder FMS (J1939) Plattformen, Lösungen für die Flottenverwaltung sowohl für Lastkraftwagen als auch für Wohnwagen, Fahrzeuge, Landwirtschaftliche Fahrzeuge, ohne dass die Plattform verändert wird, zu implementieren.
